KODAK BioMax Light Film for Chemiluminescent Imaging

In addition to BioMax Light Film, the Kodak Image Station is a digital alternative for capturing chemiluminescence.
BioMax Light is a double emulsion film that provides maximum clarity and sensitivity for detection of chemiluminescent labeled samples.
  • High Signal-to-Noise Ratio BioMax Light produces the highest signal-to-noise ratio of any Kodak film for detection of chemiluminescence. This film performs well with all brands of chemiluminescent kits.
  •

  • Suitable for Direct and Intensifying Screen Exposures BioMax Light film is suitable for direct and intensifying screen exposures with commonly used isotopes, though it provides lower sensitivity resulting in longer exposure times compared to BioMax MS, and BioMax XAR films for radioisotope detection.

Processing Options:

KODAK BioMax Light Film is suitable for both manual and automated processing.

Choosing the Right Processing Chemicals

Darkroom Handling:

The film should be handled under proper safelight conditions using a KODAK Darkroom Illuminator LED Safelight (other safelights may result in increased background fog and/or unwanted image exposure). The safelight should be positioned a least four feet from the film at all times. Minimize the length of time that the film is exposed to safelight conditions. For more information on darkroom handling, please see Autoradiography Film Tips.
