KODAK BioMax MS Film
| BioMax MS film is a high performance all-purpose, maximum sensitivity autoradiography film. |
Maximum Sensitivity:
- BioMax MS Film when used with BioMax TranScreen HE intensifying screen delivers 4 to 8 times greater sensitivity in the detection
of
32P
compared to any other autoradiography film and intensifying screen combination available today. Coated on both sides of a clear base with Kodak's advanced "T-grain" technology emulsion, BioMax
MS film is extremely sensitive to the light emitted from BioMax intensifying screens. This film/screen combination is ideal
for detection of Northern, Southern and Dot Blotting applications, particularly when
detection of low intensity samples or exposure time reduction is required.
- BioMax MS film can be used with
BioMax TranScreen LE intensifying screen to offer equal or better sensitivity as BioMax XAR film/generic intensifying screen, but with twice the resolution.
- BioMax MS film can be used with any autoradiography intensifying screen, however, offers maximum performance when used with
BioMax intensifying screens.
Flexibility:
The high sensitivity and maximum speed performance of BioMax MS film makes it the best general purpose autoradiography film
available in the market today. For the detection of
32P in blotting applications, BioMax MS film/BioMax TranScreen HE intensifying screen is four times more sensitive than BioMax
XAR film/generic intensifying screen combination, and up to eight times more sensitive than other films with a generic intensifying
screen.
(Sensitivity Curves).
BioMax MS film is suitable for the detection of chemiluminescence; however,
BioMax Light film provides greater sensitivity, and
BioMax MR film provides greater resolution.
Processing Options:
BioMax MS Film is suitable for both manual and automated processing.

Darkroom Handling:
BioMax MS Film should be handled under proper safelight conditions using a
Darkroom Illuminator LED Safelight (other safelights may result in increased background fog and/or unwanted image exposure). The safelight should be positioned
at least four feet from the film at all times. Minimize the length of time that the film is exposed to safelight conditions.

Autoradiography Film Tips.
